NOTICE OF SPECIAL ELECTION NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on Tuesday, February 25, 2020, a special election will be held in Williams County Public School District No. 8 of Williams County, North Dakota, for the purpose of submitting to the voters of the School District, the question as to whether the following Initial Resolution for the issu ance of general obligation bonds adopted by the School Board of the School Dis trict on November 11, 2019, at a regular meeting of the School Board duly called and held, shall be approved: BE IT RESOLVED by the School Board of Williams County Public School District No. 8, Williams County, North Dakota (the "School District"), that it is necessary and expedient for the School District to issue its general obligation school building bonds as hereafter described: 1. The maximum amount of bonds proposed to be issued is $28,000,000. 2. The purpose for which the bonds are proposed to be issued is to pro- vide funds, together with any other funds available, to acquire land, to construct and equip a new elementary school building, and to other wise improve and renovate school facilities. 3.The assessed valuation of all taxable property in the School District, as defined in N.D.C.C. $ 210301, is S915,347,804 as last finally equalized for the year 2019 4. The total amount of bonded indebtedness of the School District, all issued for school building purposes, is S11,785,000, less $ 0 on hand in sinking funds for the payment thereof. YOU ARE FURTHER NOTIFIED that the School District intends to issue the $28,000,000 general obligation bonds resulting in an additional millage of 13.83 mills, equal to $13.83 on each S1,000 of taxable valuation for the first tax- able year after all of the bonds are issued.
