If elected for District #1 Williams County Commission, I will stand up for the responsible development of Williams County. I will work towards implementing a comprehensive plan for strategic infrastructure improvement through Commission leadership and communication. Recognizing areas that demand dust control to enhance quality of life, and prioritizing county roads that need pavement. I’d like to see continued collaboration with all local leadership to address major concerns for our county: school expansion; infrastructure; health and human services; mental health access and availability; and population growth. I’d also like to help create a close working relationship with ND DOT regarding major highway concerns. I believe it is also important the Commission seeks opportunities where oil and agriculture industries can partner up to create stabile careers for county residents.
I am a third generation farmer/rancher, born and raised in the region. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education from MSU-Bozeman. I taught 4 years of high school agriculture and FFA in Trenton, ND, and taught 9 years as the Adult Farm and Ranch Management Instructor at Williston State College. I established my farm enterprise in 2001 West of Williston where I currently reside with my wife Amber and our four children. I serve as the USA Dry Pea & Lentil Council Chairman and previously served 9 years on the board of ND Pulse Growers Association, as well as 8 years on the Round Prairie Township board. I am looking forward to the opportunity to focus my leadership at the local level and use my passion for agriculture, community and collaboration as a County Commissioner. Thank you for your support on November 6th.
