County commissioners of Montrose County, As a property owner of this county and of the United States of America, I am guaranteed certain property rights. My property, as is most of Montrose County, is zoned agriculture and has been farmed since it was deeded to my family since the late 1800s. Therefore: Do I have the right to shoot firearms on my property? How many persons can shoot at one time? Are there limitations on the time of day I can shoot? Are there restrictions on which days of the week I can shoot? Are people that move to a zoned Agriculture property also governed by Agriculture zoning? Do adjacent landowners have the right to limit the historic activities of an adjacent agriculture zoned property. For example, friends gathering by invitation to shoot. Is it allowed for the property owner to assemble simple structures for the ability to shoot competitively? What is the commission's definition of a "shooting club"? Are club members required to pay dues before they can participate and only then are they allowed to participate? Your faulty decision has taken away my constitutional rights including the right to bear arms. As a property owner I do not endanger anyone. I shoot responsibly in a topographically protected and secured area. I meet all of the requirements of a property owner, and produce noise levels of less than those of barking dogs. What recourse do I have to your faulty decision?
