Specific duties include (1) providing instruction to students through classroom/laboratory instruction, online learning, and learning community activities; (2) preparing clear and measurable objectives, course syllabi, course materials and learning experiences; (3) designing, developing, assessing, and overseeing program curricula; (4) maintaining appropriate course records and documentation; (5) maintaining office hours and serving as either academic advisor or professional tutor as needed; (6) maintaining current knowledge within the discipline and teaching profession; (7) meeting requirements for mathematics program and for accreditation; (8) maintaining ongoing communications with community organization, faculty from other tribal colleges and universities, and public agencies in support of student learning; (9) working collaboratively with colleagues, staff, and community members; and (10)performing related mathematical teaching duties.
